WSOP Circuit G.O.A.T. Maurice Hawkins In Line to Finally Win a Bracelet

Maurice Hawkins 2026 WSOP

The sickest final table ever in a $600 buy-in World Series of Poker (WSOP) event will get underway Tuesday evening, and it includes two of the best WSOP Circuit grinders ever — Maurice Hawkins and Josh Reichard.

Here’s where it gets crazy: Two of the top high-stakes pros in history — Daniel Negreanu and Alex Foxen — are at that same table. Basically, it’s a battle of high-stakes G.O.A.T.S. versus mid-stakes G.O.A.T.S. for a WSOP bracelet.

There’s another storyline in play as this final table approaches, and you’re not going to want to miss the live updates right here at PokerNews, and that is Hawkins has a shot to finally win his first bracelet after having won a record 25 Circuit rings.

A Final Table You Can’t Miss

Say what you want about Hawkins — he’s polarizing in the poker industry — but the fact that the best to ever do it in the WSOP Circuit is in position to win a bracelet, that’s worthy of attention. Hawkins has reached the final table in Event #28: $600 Deepstack NLH/PLO Mixed, a tournament with 3,332 entrants. He’s guaranteed at least $18,854, but is playing to win the $204,140 first-place prize.

Hawkins, who won his 25th Circuit ring for $113,223 last month, has 308 WSOP cashes, Circuit and non-Circuit combined. But he’s still chasing that elusive first bracelet, a goal that could come to an end on Tuesday.

The task of winning a bracelet won’t be easy at this final table, however, not with a number of crushers, including two future Poker Hall of Famers. Hawkins will enter the final nine fifth in chips. Reichard holds a slim chip lead over Brent Gregory, while Foxen (fourth place) and Negreanu (seventh place) are still in the mix.

Due to the star power at the final table, the WSOP has decided to move it to livestream. As such, the final table, following a dinner break, will air on an extensive delay. But it’s one you’ll want to stay up for and watch (or wake up to see, depending where in the world you live). Hawkins may have his haters, but he will have an opportunity to silence them, and do it on a livestream.
