Carnival Cruise Line Expands Casino Rewards Experience Across Entire Fleet

Carnival Cruise Line has announced the completion of an important upgrade to its onboard casino experience. The company has finished rolling out a new gaming technology platform across its entire fleet of 29 ships.

The move comes amid the successful implementation of the same system aboard Holland America Line vessels, marking another step in Carnival Corporation’s efforts to modernize gaming operations across cruise brands.

Serving Up Rewards and Fun

The technology, developed by Konami Gaming, powers Carnival’s casino rewards program known internally as SURF, short for Serving Up Rewards and Fun. The platform is designed to provide guests with a more personalized casino experience through customized rewards, promotions, bonuses and cashless gaming options.

Passengers who choose to sail on Carnival ships now have access to a range of new features while enjoying the onboard casinos. Among them are player preference tracking and service tailoring based on individual gaming habits.

The system also integrates directly with a guest’s onboard account, making it easier to enjoy cashless wagering and access rewards throughout a cruise.

“We’re Obsessed with Giving Guests the Best Time Possible”

According to Carnival Corporation senior vice president of global gaming Marty Goldman, the company remains focused on enhancing the entertainment experience for guests.

“We’re obsessed with giving guests the best time possible with great service, standout rewards and innovation that raises the fun factor even higher, so it’s been fantastic to roll out SURF across the entire Carnival Cruise Line fleet and make the guest experience even more rewarding,” Goldman said.

He added that the company plans to continue expanding the program across Carnival Corporation’s wider portfolio of cruise brands.

The technology supports thousands of gaming machines across the fleet and introduces new opportunities for players to participate in bonus features and virtual prize drawings while at sea.

Konami Gaming president and chief operating officer Tom Jingoli explained that the project shows Carnival Corporation’s commitment to innovation throughout the travel experience.

“Carnival Corporation continues to innovate the guest experience in every detail of the journey, demonstrated in exciting new ways across the combined 40 onboard casinos of Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America Line now live with top SYNKROS technology,” Jingoli said.

The installation currently spans 40 casinos across the Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America Line fleets.

Carnival Corporation confidently says the rollout is only the beginning, with plans already underway to bring the system to additional cruise lines across its global portfolio.
