A medical student who has been living with her extended family, daughter, and boyfriend has won the Pechanga Resort Casino promotion that saw her take over the keys to a $2.2 million penthouse from the company’s Home Sweet Win campaign.
Pechanga Resort Casino Delivers Another Multi-Million Home to a Lucky Owner
Anahy M., the winner, was in the race with two other finalists, selecting the correct door and trying her key to find out that she had won the luxury home, which she soon after toured with her boyfriend in Orange County, California.
Commenting on this development, Pechanga Development Corporation President Sean Vasquez said:
“There’s nothing quite like watching someone’s life change in a single moment. On Saturday, that moment belonged to Anahy and her family, and the joy in that room is exactly why we created Home Sweet Win. Congratulations to them on their beautiful new home. We couldn’t be happier, and we’re already looking forward to next year.”
Anahy has been living in a converted garage at her parents’ place with her daughter and boyfriend for the past two years as she has been studying to become an ultrasound technician, with graduation due in August.
Anahy said that she has been working hard to secure a better future for her family and that moving near Vernon to live in her parents’ garage was not what she had pictured for herself in life.
However, the couple kept their heads down and worked hard, making significant renovations to the garage and enhancing their living quarters, but these make-do home improvements would no longer be necessary.
Can’t Wait to Settle in Her New Home
“I had dreams about the contest and about this house for weeks before this, only in some of them, I picked the wrong door. For years, I’ve been working hard and dreaming about giving my daughter her dream home,” Anahy added.
Anahy said that she was looking towards the simple things – doing the laundry at home and cooking for her daughter and extended family.
The family and Anahy have been going to Pechanga Resort Casino for years now, organizing family vacations and even had some luck, with Anahy also winning $10,000 in 2026 from gambling.
Home Sweet Win will be coming back in 2027. While Anahy took the top prize, the other two finalists have each received $50,000.
