The Powerball top prize has remained unclaimed, quashing players’ hopes of becoming the sixth jackpot winner for 2026. However, the game will return this Saturday, providing players with another shot at a nine-figure payout.
The Jackpot Stands Strong
Yesterday’s drawing saw Powerball enthusiasts compete for a top prize of $239 million with a cash value of $106.5 million. Winning this life-changing sum required players to match all six winning numbers; although a few came close, the jackpot ultimately remained unconquered.
For reference, the winning Powerball numbers drawn on June 10 were 12, 31, 38, 60, and 66, plus the red Powerball 14. The Power Play multiplier for that drawing was 2x.
To rub some salt into the wound, the drawing not only went without a jackpot winner, but also didn’t award a Match 5 prize. Match 5 tickets are worth $1 million ($2 millions if Power Play is active) and require players to match all five white numbers correctly.
While no one won a seven-figure sum, some fifteen players matched four white numbers plus the red Powerball to secure themselves some mouth-watering prizes. Ten of these players received prizes of $50,000 each, while the remaining five took prizes of $100,000 each due to Power Play.
In the meantime, the Powerball jackpot reached $258 million with a cash value of $115 million. The next drawing will take place this Saturday.
Powerball Continues to Mint Millionaires
In other Powerball news, a player in California recently took a Match 5 prize. While Match 5 prizes are usually $1 million, or $2 million in case the Power Play feature is active, the player’s check will likely display a different sum due to California’s special lottery rules.
An earlier drawing this month, on the other hand, awarded a $1 million Match 5 prize to a ticket-holder in New York, who matched all white numbers, but not the Powerball.
In terms of jackpots, Powerball has awarded five this year, with the most recent wins happening at the end of April and the beginning of May. This was notably the first time in several years that two jackpot wins happened back-to-back.
