Gaming supplier Euro Games Technology (EGT) has launched a World Cup 2026-themed social media initiative that will see members of its employee football team share predictions for selected tournament matches, as the company seeks to engage audiences during one of the world’s largest sporting events.
The campaign, titled All Eyes on Football: EGT Team Picks, will run throughout the tournament and feature interactive content across social media channels, allowing followers to compare their own forecasts with those of EGT employees.
According to the company, the initiative will focus on selected high-profile matches, leading football nations and the knockout stages of the World Cup, when fan engagement is expected to be at its highest.
The campaign draws on EGT’s internal football culture, which dates back to 2006 when employees began organizing informal matches after work. The team now includes staff from multiple departments, including production, quality assurance, supply, technical and administrative functions.
“What started as colleagues gathering to play football after work gradually became an important part of the company culture,” Nikolay Georgiev, EGT’s Production Director and captain of the company’s football team, said.
“Football helps us build strong relationships and better communication between different teams. We understand each other more easily, sometimes even without words,” he said. “Besides being professionals in their respective fields, this initiative will show that we also know how to have fun together while following one of the biggest sporting events in the world.”
The EGT football team currently competes in Bulgarian amateur leagues and tournaments and has recorded multiple title wins and top finishes, according to the company.
Participants in the prediction campaign include Production Director and team captain Nikolay Georgiev, Senior Supply Specialist Blagovest Tsenov, Production Coordinator and defender Antoan Vasilev, Deputy Unit Manager and defender Rafaelo Markov, Unit Manager and midfielder Hristo Velchev, Production Manager and defender Angel Angelov, Electronics Technician and striker Tsvetoslav Dimitrov, and QA Engineer Konstantin Tsvetkov.
Over the coming weeks, EGT plans to introduce the employees behind the predictions through a series of profiles highlighting their professional roles, personal interests and football perspectives.
The initiative forms part of the company’s broader efforts to support employee engagement through sports and hobby-based activities. In addition to football, EGT organizes and supports activities including table tennis, tennis, chess, esports, foosball, billiards and folk dancing.
EGT employs more than 4,500 people, operates offices in over 28 countries and has a presence in more than 100 markets worldwide.
