The latest Powerball drawing had its Power Play modifier set at 4x, resulting in a few six-figure wins. However, no one was lucky enough for the jackpot, leaving it unclaimed once again.
Powerball Awards Three $200K Prizes
The latest Powerball drawing saw players compete for a jackpot of $257 million. A hypothetical winner would have been able to choose the annuity for the full sum or the one-time lump sum option of $115 million. Had the jackpot been won, this would have been the sixth Powerball win for 2026.
The reality, however, is that no one won the jackpot or a Match 5 prize of $1 million or $2 million since no player was lucky enough to match enough winning numbers. For reference, the numbers drawn on Saturday, June 13, were 3, 13, 44, 50, and 53, plus the red Powerball 2. As mentioned, the Power Play multiplier was 4x.
While there were no Match 5 prizes, the high multiplier turned three third-tier wins into $200,000 windfalls. These players successfully matched four white numbers and the Powerball. In addition to that, they had activated the Power Play feature, thus benefiting from the 4x multiplier.
In addition to that, some thirteen players matched the same numbers, but won $50,000 each since they didn’t have Power Play active.
The Powerball jackpot has now reached $269 million with a cash value of $120.5 million.
Powerball Fans Await the Sixth Jackpot
In other news, a Charlotte player recently scooped up a $100K Powerball prize. Before that, a player in California won a Match 5 prize. While Match 5 prizes are usually $1 million, or $2 million in case the Power Play feature is active, the player’s winnings will likely show a different figure due to California’s special lottery rules. For reference, California determines the lottery prizes based on the number of tickets sold.
This year has seen five Powerball jackpot wins, so far. The most recent ones came at the end of April and the beginning of May, when two back-to-back jackpot wins happened. Even more interestingly, both drawings had two winners each, thus minting double the jackpot winners.
