The Monday Powerball drawing was somewhat unexciting. However, many players hope that this is just the calm before a storm.
The Monday Drawing Was Not All That Exciting
The Powerball game has so far awarded five jackpots in 2026, causing players to eagerly anticipate the sixth one. The game’s top prize has remained unclaimed since early May, allowing it to reach the respectable size of $269 million for the drawing that took place yesterday.
If the Monday drawing had elected a winner, they would have been able to either take the annuity option for the full sum, or the one-time cash option of $120.5 million. However, no one was lucky enough to correctly match all six winning numbers.
For reference, the winning numbers for the drawing that took place on June 15, 2026, were 25, 55, 57, 60, and 62, plus the red Powerball 23.
The Power Play multiplier, on the other hand, was 2x.
One Player Won $100,000
The Monday drawing didn’t have many big winners. In addition to no one winning the jackpot, no one claimed a Match 5 prize either. For reference, Match 5 prizes require players to match the five white numbers without the Powerball. They award $1 million or $2 million if Power Play is active.
At the same time, there were only a few winners of the game’s third-tier prize, which requires players to match four white numbers and the Powerball. Two such winners took $50,000 each, while a separate one secured double that ($100,000) thanks to the Power Play feature.
In the meantime, the Powerball jackpot has continued to grow, reaching $283 million for the Wednesday drawing. The cash value of that jackpot is $126.8 million.
Several Players Won Big Sums Recently
While the previous Powerball drawing did not award a jackpot or a Match 5 prize either, its 4x Power Play multiplier caused three players to win mouth-watering prizes of $200,000. In addition to that, some thirteen players won regular $50,000 prizes.
Previously, a Charlotte player scooped up a $100K Powerball prize. Another recent drawing awarded a Match 5 prize to a player in California. Instead of the usual Match 5 prize, however, the player’s winnings will likely show a different figure due to the fact that California determines the lottery prizes based on the number of tickets sold.
