Turning Stone Resort Casino in Central New York will open a new 258-room luxury hotel, The Crescent, on July 17, followed by the debut of its fine-dining restaurant Salt on July 22.
The expansion is part of a broader effort by the resort, operated by the Oneida Indian Nation through Turning Stone Enterprises, to position Turning Stone as New York’s largest meetings and conventions destination.
The Crescent, the resort’s fourth hotel on property, will begin welcoming guests on June 29 ahead of its formal opening event in July. The property features 258 modern guest rooms with upgraded furnishings, textures, and amenities designed to align with a higher-end hospitality experience.

Guests staying at The Crescent will have direct access to the resort’s spa, wellness programs, dining venues, golf courses, entertainment, and gaming facilities. The hotel will also house an on-site medical facility, Rome Health Convenient Care at Turning Stone, offering care for both guests and staff.
Occupying the entire seventh floor of The Crescent, Salt will feature a steakhouse-and-seafood-inspired concept with panoramic views of the Mohawk Valley. The restaurant will include two large terraces for seasonal outdoor dining and four private dining rooms designed for group experiences.
The resort said the concept is intended to deliver a high-end but accessible dining experience, blending elevated cuisine with regional inspiration drawn from local landscapes, agriculture, and history.
Turning Stone is once again partnering with restaurant developer and strategist Elizabeth Blau, who will help design the Salt experience, including its menu, cocktails, and overall guest journey.

Ray Halbritter, Representative of the Oneida Indian Nation and CEO of Turning Stone Enterprises, said the expansion is part of the resort’s effort to become New York’s leading meetings and conventions destination.
“As we prepare to become New York’s largest meetings and conventions resort destination, it was essential that we elevated every aspect of the Turning Stone experience,” said Halbritter. “The Crescent and Salt reflect our commitment to delivering a level of luxury and hospitality that rivals the finest destinations in the world.”
Blau said the restaurant will focus on delivering an immersive culinary experience.
“The guest experience at Salt will be unlike anything else in the Northeast, with every detail considered to deliver an immersive and unique gastronomic journey with culinary inspiration drawn from the land and sea,” she said. “I’m thrilled to be working with the Turning Stone team again to raise the bar even further and create one of the country’s most unique and exceptional restaurants.”

The Crescent, Salt, and the upcoming Grand Expo—scheduled to open on Labor Day—are central components of the resort’s long-term expansion strategy aimed at transforming Turning Stone into a premier national meetings and conventions hub.
