Shane Collins’ debut in the UFC has been like lightning, with the American winning all fights he has fought in so far. Threatening to put a blemish on his record is Otari Tanzilovi, the Georgian who is also running a rather solid 10-1-0 record of his own.
But Tanzilovi will face a determined fighter who has been known to cut the fight short by defeating their opponent early, so can he withstand the flurry that is Collins?

Collins Will Be a Challenge for Tanzilovi
While Tanzilovi has more mileage under his belt, he will now face a fighter who is capable of keeping a fighting cadence that could be completely new for the Georgian.
The main challenge that Tanzilovi has ahead of him is reflected in the odds – he is (+190) underdog in the fight, and this is well justified. Yet, we believe this will be another underdog story worth paying closer attention to.
For starters, the main concern is that Collins will just be too quick for Tanzilovi to keep up against, and the American has definitely demonstrated that this could very well be the case based on performance alone.
Both fighters are dead even when it comes to their physical characteristics, meaning that there won’t be even a marginal advantage there. Collins has so far won most of his fights with KO/TKO, meaning that if Tanzilovi knows how to guard himself, he will likely bring the fight to a place where he wants it to be – outsourcing.
But even then, Collins’ fast pace of attack could bring him a lot of extra points, and whether the Georgian can respond adequately remains to be seen. We should not look at this fight as Collins posing an immediate and insurmountable threat to his opponent.
Tanzilovi has similarly ended 7 out of his 10 bouts with a KO/TKO, and his only loss is added to his record by Split Decision – so even further from a “real defeat” as fans argue. This is why we think Tanzilovi can be a massive success story despite Collins’ unmistakable qualities.
Pick: Collins to Win (-225)
