Aussie Man Who Won $2.07M Wins Big Again 10 Years Later

Imagining winning $2.07 million from the lottery (AUD 3 million) only to find out that you have done it again – almost – ten years later. This is precisely what happened to one Perth man, who previously won a multi-million prize in 2015 when he was a member of a syndicate.

His latest win, however, is all him with the lucky devil scooping an AUD 1.8 million ($1.24 million) from the OZ Lotto during the Saturday Lotto Superdraw. The man, who is now in his 60s, definitely has much to be happy about, set to retirement with his wife.

“This time, I’ll be able to transition into retirement sooner than I had planned,” the double-million winner professed. The man recounted the story of how he previously won as part of a 10-member syndicate, to scoop the AUD 30 million OZ lotto prize at the time, but has since gone solo in his lottery plays. 

“When I won 11 years ago, we took a holiday, cleared some debt and helped out the kids,” the lucky man added. He was however aware that he has had an extraordinary amount of good luck, having won twice. 

This Time, the Man Is Retiring All Proper

“I didn’t play for a while after the first win, but I like to play when there are big jackpots or Superdraw weekends, and I also play weekly in a syndicate with my friends,” the man explained.

He is also aware that this may be his very last time winning such a big amount from the lottery and he is completely content with the outcome – setting his sights on enjoying his retirement with his wife. 

To understand how extraordinary winning the jackpot from the Division One jackpot are, it’s enough to look at the numbers – 1 in 8,145,060 for the happy event to occur.
