Man Wins $1.3M Jackpot 15 Years After He Won $45K
The prize was only claimed recently, with the lottery hurrying to share the details about the win, and the follow-up interview with the winner, plus the customary photo with the outsized check.
The ticket was bought at the Oswego BP at 2791 US Highway 34 in Oswego, with the winner recounting the story in everyday terms: “I just stopped by the store for a drink and thought – why not?”
The winner also picked the Quick Pick option which automatically chooses the numbers for players, and leaves the hassle out of picking specific numbers as well. The winning numbers on that fateful night were 1, 13, 19, 27, and 35.
Of course, the man had some trouble believing his good luck, and said that he could hardly believe his luck at first. Was he dreaming, he asked himself? However, he scanned the ticket and realized that the numbers were indeed a match – and then relaitiy hits him.
The man immediately told his wife who was just as thrilled to find out and guess what? He had won $45,000 from the very same game playing it some 15 years ago, and known under a different name – Little Lotto.
As to the money, the winner is going to put it to good use, calling it a blessing. First, the family will be buying a new house, and provide financial security for his wife’s retirement.
Of course, the venue that sold the ticket is also getting a neat little cut of 1% or $13,000 in this case.
