Wazdan secures six MiGEA Awards 2026 nominations across product and leadership categories

Wazdan has been shortlisted across four categories at the MiGEA Awards 2026, with six nominations recognising both its product portfolio and its leadership team. The annual event recognises companies and professionals in the gaming industry, and the awards ceremony is scheduled for June 25 at The Xara Lodge in Rabat, Malta.

The supplier’s nominations include:

  • Best Online Gaming Product of the Year for Burning Board
  • Best Online Casino Product of the Year for Mighty Wild: Gorilla
  • Best Gaming CEO of the Year for CEO Michal Imiolek
  • Best Woman Leader of the Year for Izabela Slodkowska-Popiel, Magdalena Wojdyla and Bekki D’Agata.

The nominations cover both the company’s game portfolio and members of its senior management team across commercial, operational and product functions.

“To receive four nominations at the MiGEA Awards is a reflection of the work being done across every part of this business,” said Michal Imiolek, Chief Executive Officer at Wazdan.

Burning Board was nominated in the Best Online Gaming Product of the Year category. The game was developed with a central gameplay concept aimed at driving player engagement and helping operators differentiate their casino offerings.

Mighty Wild: Gorilla received a nomination for Best Online Casino Product of the Year. The title is part of Wazdan’s Mighty Wild series and incorporates the company’s feature-focused approach to slot development. The game expands on an existing franchise that is available across regulated markets.

We’re proud to see Burning Board and Mighty Wild: Gorilla recognised as standout products. Both are strong examples of what we set out to achieve with every release: titles that give operators something distinctive and give players a compelling reason to engage,” said Imiolek.

In addition to the product nominations, Wazdan executives were recognised in individual award categories.

Imiolek was shortlisted for Best Gaming CEO of the Year, while Slodkowska-Popiel, Wojdyla and D’Agata were each nominated for Best Woman Leader of the Year.

Equally important is the recognition of our leadership team. Izabela, Magdalena and Bekki each bring exceptional expertise and commitment to what they do, and seeing that acknowledged alongside Wazdan’s wider product achievements is something we’re genuinely proud of,” Imiolek added.
