The UAE Lottery, operated by The Game LLC, a Momentum Group company, partnered with the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and Infinite Communities for the SAGIP Initiative held on June 28 at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.
Held at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, the initiative aimed to provide immediate and practical assistance to members of the Filipino community. SAGIP, which means “Rescue” in Filipino, brought together public and private sector partners to deliver essential services and support to Filipinos facing various challenges.
The program offered career coaching, counselling, wellness assessments, and the distribution of essential grocery packs, providing both immediate relief and longer-term opportunities for beneficiaries. The initiative sought to help participants build resilience while improving their access to employment and community support.
The outreach effort was further strengthened by the voluntary participation of Filipino-owned businesses, human resources practitioners, medical and healthcare professionals, psychologists, and community volunteers, who contributed their expertise to deliver a holistic and people-centered support program.
Consul Aleah Marie Gica said the SAGIP Initiative reflects the resilience and unity of the Filipino community in the UAE. “Community outreach programs such as SAGIP reflect the strength of collaboration between institutions and community organisations working together to support those most in need,” the Consul added.
“Through our Good Neighbour initiative and our collaboration with The UAE Lottery and the Philippine Consulate, we hope to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward with dignity and confidence,” said Elena C. Cruz, Founder and CEO of Infinite Communities.
Suzan Kazzi, Associate Director of CSR at Momentum – The UAE Lottery, said the initiative aims to provide both immediate relief and long-term opportunities for members of the Filipino community.
“Through our HR specialists who volunteered their time and expertise, the career coaching sessions were designed to help beneficiaries navigate uncertainty, regain confidence, and reconnect with employment opportunities through practical advice and guidance,” Kazzi said.
The initiative reinforced the UAE Lottery’s commitment to social impact through its H.O.P.E. CSR program. Through H.O.P.E, which focuses on Healthcare, Opportunities, Planet, and Enrichment, the UAE Lottery develops socially responsible initiatives that contribute positively to various communities across the UAE.
