Switzerland vs Colombia is the very last game of the Round of 16, before we had into the even tighter leg of the competition. Both teams have a great chance of advancing although, admittedly, Colombia is a slight favorite here and for a fairly good reason – owing to better overall attack and defense.

Switzerland Scores More, But Colombia Plays Against Better Teams
The final of the Round of 32 will be an exciting one with Colombia set to advance, unless Switzerland can muster a pace that puts the Latin American nation at a disadvantage and quickly results in a hefty lead.
Colombia played great games against a number of teams, including Uzbekistan which was defeated 3-1 and DR Congo, which lost 1-0. The team also played well against Portugal, refusing to buckle and ended up drawing at 0-0.
Colombia notably managed to pressure Portugal with 26 overall shots and 2 shots on target, but neither opportunity converted. Colombia has a list of players that is flexible enough in both defense and offense.
Switzerland has managed to score more often, and notably defeated Algeria, a team that is definitely a formidable opponent and one that has been able to put a strong game in the tournament. However, Switzerland triumphed over Algeria in a decisive moment – the Round of 32, which has helped the team get into the mental game for an equally – and more challenging opponent, Colombia.
But the question remains – will this be enough? Breel Embolo and Dan Ndoye have both been formidable strikers and they have contributed to much of the Europeans’ success, but they will need to play at a much greater pace when going up against Colombia. With the team set to win, we think the Swiss will bow out in the end.
Pick: Colombia to Win (-155)
