2026 FIFA World Cup Quarter Finals

Norway and England are both currently making history in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

From fans screaming “you are a wizard, Harry,” referring to the English captain to Norway’s “rowing” at the end of every game with their Viking-inspired “Ro!”chant, both teams make for a mighty entertaining spectacle, and they are incredibly competitive, in a perfect shape and willing to advance.

England is looking for a second title since 1966, and Norway is gently joshing about what happened the last time Vikings visited.

Norway Can Become Another Underdog Story

Norway is naturally set to trail England as per oddsmakers expectations. Both England and Norway have so far defied expectations, with the teams overcoming some impressive opponents and prying away wins through consistently outperforming and punishing opponent mistakes at the right time.

England has so far had a great run, defeating opponents such as Panama and DR Congo comfortably, but still exchanging too many goals with others, such as Mexico and Croatia.

The key issue with England for that matter remains with how well the backline can hold up against Norway’s assault, and this is where the Vikings come in.

Norway triumphed over Brazil eliminating the multiple World Cup champions in a closely fought and ultimately won game (2-1) in the Round of 16 and similarly defeating Ivory Coast in the Round of 32. Norway has been able to improve its defense since its almost devastating loss to France (4-1), and it has built up its midfield and attack.

While Norway still faces very long odds of actually making it to the finals, there is a good chance the team could overcome the current challenge that is England

The only setback might have to do with the fact that Norway is a bit of a one-trick pony as a lot of its scoring potential relies on Erlign Haaland, who has been a tremendous asset to his team and has spearheaded it to victory on multiple occasions.

Pick: Norway to Win (+172)
