FanDuel Canada to launch casino and sportsbook in Alberta

FanDuel Canada will launch its Casino and Sportsbook platform in Alberta on July 13, subject to regulatory approval, and the move adds a fourth province to the operator’s Canadian footprint.

Alberta players who are 18 and older can create an account now at www.FanDuel.ca. Once live, the platform will give both new and experienced users access to Casino 101 and Sports Betting 101 resources, along with information on responsible gaming tools.

“Alberta represents an exciting new chapter for FanDuel Canada, and we look forward to the opportunity to bring our industry-leading Casino and Sportsbook experience to players across the province,” said Dale Hooper, General Manager of FanDuel Canada.

“As we plan to enter this new market, we’re committed to delivering a best-in-class entertainment experience and meaningful community engagement remains at the heart of everything we do,” he added.

Partnerships tied to the provincial rollout

FanDuel Canada has renewed its multi-year partnership with the Canadian Football League (CFL) in connection with the Alberta launch. The renewed deal extends the operator’s presence into Alberta and adds Casino as a new category alongside the existing sportsbook arrangement. The 113th Grey Cup will take place on November 15, 2026, at McMahon Stadium in Calgary.

The operator has also entered into an exclusive partnership with Light & Wonder to bring the Huff N’ Puff slot franchise to Alberta players, pending regulatory clearance.

FanDuel Canada holds the title sponsorship of the Cowboys Stampede Showdown Charity Poker Tournament, which supports the Calgary Stampede Foundation. The tournament has generated more than $1.3 million for the foundation to date, with the 2026 edition raising $260,000 — a record total for the event.

Community funding commitments

FanDuel will donate $50,000 to the A Dollar A Day Foundation to support mental health programs in Alberta. Over the past three years, the company has contributed $150,000 to the organization, funding programs across Ontario and Alberta.

FanDuel will donate an additional $30,000 to the Canadian Red Cross Emergency Management Program in Alberta, directed toward disaster preparedness and community recovery efforts.
