Another lottery winner story emerged in Massachusetts, where an Adams resident managed to scoop a six-figure prize that will now change their life around.
Patricia Markland, the winner, posed with her check on July 6, claiming the $500,000 award from the $500,000 Frenzy” instant ticket game.
The Massachusetts State Lottery publicized the win and let the winner share the story on her own terms. The winner has opted for the lump sum and said that she will use the money on her children.
The ticket was purchased at Val’s Variety at 5 Columbia St in Adams, and the venue will also receive the customary $5,000 bonus. But this is hardly the only instance of a big win occurring in the Bay State recently.
In fact, a lucky man from the state has claimed a $4 million top prize from one of the Massachusetts Lottery’s scratch-off games. This was notably the first of three top prizes to land on the In The Money game.
The most recent win on the $500,000 Frenzy game is the eighth to have been claimed. Last week, a Peabody resident became the seventh winner overall in the game, scooping the $500,000 prize himself.
Identified as David McHenry, the man bought his ticket at the E Market Convenience Store & Deli at 598 Lowell St. in Peabody.
