Mohegan Sun will mark its 30th anniversary this October with a two-weekend celebration featuring major concerts and special events at Mohegan Sun Arena.
The milestone celebration will center on five headline performances at Mohegan Sun Arena over two consecutive weekends. Alanis Morissette will kick off the festivities on Friday, Oct. 2, followed by Foo Fighters on Sunday, Oct. 4. The second weekend features John Mayer on Friday, Oct. 9, Lainey Wilson on Saturday, Oct. 10, and DJ Cassidy’s Pass The Mic Live! with Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Jadakiss, and Nelly on Sunday, Oct. 11.
“Over the past three decades, Mohegan Sun has grown into one of the most successful and highest-grossing tribal gaming destinations in the country, continually evolving to deliver exceptional entertainment and guest experiences that have earned its place among the world’s leading integrated resorts,” said Jeff Hamilton, President & GM of Mohegan Sun.
The opening weekend begins with Morissette, whose breakthrough 1995 album Jagged Little Pill became one of the defining releases of the decade. The seven-time Grammy Award winner remains one of contemporary music’s most influential singer-songwriters, with hits including “You Oughta Know,” “Ironic,” “Hand in My Pocket” and “Thank U.”
Rock fans will then welcome Foo Fighters, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band led by Dave Grohl. Over the past three decades, the group has become one of modern rock’s most successful acts, earning 15 Grammy Awards and producing anthems such as “Everlong,” “Learn to Fly,” “Best of You,” “The Pretender” and “Times Like These.”

The celebration continues the following weekend with singer-songwriter and guitarist John Mayer. A seven-time Grammy Award winner, Mayer has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and is known for hits including “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” “Daughters,” “Waiting on the World to Change” and “Gravity.”

Lainey Wilson will take the stage on Saturday, Oct. 10. The Grammy-winning artist and reigning Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year has scored multiple chart-topping singles, including “Heart Like a Truck,” “Watermelon Moonshine” and “4x4xU.”

Closing the celebration, DJ Cassidy’s Pass The Mic Live! will feature hip-hop veterans Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Jadakiss, and Nelly performing together in a collaborative concert format. The live production has previously sold out venues including Radio City Music Hall, Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

The anniversary celebration comes during a milestone year for Mohegan Sun Arena, which is also celebrating its 25th anniversary. The venue was recently recognized as Best Casino Concert Venue in the 2026 Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards and Casino/Resort Venue of the Year at the 37th Annual Pollstar Awards.
Additional anniversary events and promotions are set to be announced ahead of Mohegan Sun’s 30th birthday celebration.
