Pai Gow Player Wins $813,553 Jackpot at Vegas Casino

Jackpot Winner

A little over a month after opening its doors, The Vanderpump Hotel in Vegas cut a $813,553 cheque to one of its players for hitting a jackpot at the pai gow poker table.

The jackpot was awarded on June 29 to “Pam W.”, a visitor to Vegas from Littleton, Colorado, according to a press release from Caesars Entertainment.

Pam hit the jackpot with a seven-card straight flush. The winning hand was 678910Q plus a joker that subbed in for the J. The odds of a five-card straight flush are one in 210,964. The extra two cards in a seven-card straight flush lengthen those odds to one in 676,066.

After collecting her winnings and filming a celebratory champagne popping for the casino’s Instagram, Pam told Caesars that she was just in town for the week with her husband. She plans to celebrate her win by taking her husband on a European river cruise with the proceeds.

The Vanderpump Rules

The Vanderpump Hotel in Vegas only opened to reservations on May 23, so Pam is one of the earliest big winners for the location.

The hotel and casino is a joint venture between Caesars Entertainment and the restaurateur and real housewife of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump. As well as a restaurant themed around Vanderpump’s pet dog called Gigolo, the hotel also has a 40,000-square-foot casino floor with a solid bank of slot games as well as table classics like blackjack, baccarat, roulette, craps, and pai gow.

Caesars owns the WSOP, the Main Event of which is currently underway.
