Connecticut Man Claims NY’s Millionaire for Life $1.43M Prize

A Connecticut resident who won a $1,432,201 New York lottery prize back in May has finally stepped forward to claim his prize.

Winning while playing the Millionaire for Life drawing on May 18, the player, one Steven Daniel of Branford, Connecticut, appeared at lottery HQ to scoop his prize.

He had won with the numbers 1, 5, 20, 29, and 34, although he missed the Millionaire Ball – 2

The second prize, which is what Daniel won, can be claimed by either scooping $100,000 a year for a maximum of 20 years or taking a lump sum upfront, which is what the player did.

As a result, the total prize of $2,200,000 has been reduced to $1,432,201 after all customary withholdings, and the player is now seven-figure richer.

He bought the ticket at Tiptop Super Shoppe in Orangeburg, Rockland County, New York.

No further infromation was released about the winner.
