Mega Millions Awards $2M Prize to Player in Florida, Jackpot Reaches $637M

The latest Mega Millions drawing once again failed to elect a jackpot winner, but a lucky player in Florida matched almost all winning numbers, turning their ticket into a $2 million payout.

Florida Player Scoops Up $2M Prize

The lucky player in Florida matched all white winning numbers for the drawing that took place on Friday, July 10. As a result, the ticket holder was only one Mega Ball away from winning the mouth-watering $604 million jackpot. Had they won, they would have been presented with two options – annuitized payments for the full sum or a one-time lump sum of $266.3 million.

Instead, the fortunate Floridian won a $2 million Match 5 prize, which is still nothing to sneeze at. The winning ticket’s multiplier was 2x.

The winning numbers for the July 10 drawing were 2, 39, 44, 46, and 56, plus the gold Mega Ball 23. In addition to the $2 million payout, ten players won third-tier prizes from Mega Millions after correctly matching four white numbers and the gold Mega Ball. Four of them will take home $20,000 each, five will take home $30,000 each, and a single lucky player will scoop up a $40,000 prize.

The Mega Millions Jackpot Keeps on Growing

The next Mega Millions drawing is set to take place later today. The jackpot for the Tuesday, July 14, drawing is standing at $637 million, with a cash option of $278 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot recently exceeded the $600 million mark and is seemingly showing no signs of slowing down, unless, of course, someone wins it. Should that happen, it would be the third Mega Millions jackpot for 2026.

In the meantime, the drawing that took place on July 9 ended up awarding third-tier prizes of between $20,000 and $100,000 to a total of six players.
