Kalshi’s prediction market odds have been integrated in the AI assistant ChatGPT thanks to OpenAI, marking the first instance of prediction markets being featured in one of OpenAI’s products.
The news was revealed by The New York Times. The new feature replaced one of the text boxes added to ChatGPT when users searched for 2026 FIFA World Cup matches.
Current market data from Kalshi is then displayed by ChatGPT for the given teams. For instance, France was reported having a 60% chance of winning, while England had only 55% chance of winning.
OpenAI stated that the feature “is available for queries about the 2026 World Cup.” Additionally, OpenAI indicates that the information provided is “for informational purposes only,” meaning that users won’t be allowed to place bets via the app.
The integrated tool is appearing at a time of a rapid growth of prediction markets. According to Dune Analytics, Kalshi’s trading volume exceeded $33 billion last month, thus outperforming Polymarket by far.
OpenAI’s decision to surface Kalshi odds within ChatGPT highlights the increasing role of prediction markets as an information source rather than solely a betting product.
