The New York Lottery unveiled yet another scratch-off winner, this time from Cheektowaga. The lucky player scooped up a top prize from one of the lottery’s games.
A $1,000,000 Must Love Dogs Top Prize Has Landed
On July 14, the New York Lottery announced that James Renzi of Cheektowaga, Erie County, has won a seven-figure payout from one of the lottery’s scratch-off games. Officials elaborated that the lucky player bought his winning ticket from Oasis Convenience located at 2437 Harlem Rd. in Cheektowaga.
The ticket in question was a $1,000,000 Must Love Dogs one. Renzi must definitely love dogs since he was rewarded with a $1 million prize – the largest one can hope to win from the Must Love Dogs game.
After visiting the lottery, Renzi walked out with a lump sum payment of $442,681, after required withholdings, rather than opting for the annuity option for the full sum.
The NY Lottery added that, as of the time of its announcement, there were two more top prizes of $1 million remaining in the $1,000,000 Must Love Dogs game.
The New York Lottery Minted Even More Winners
Renzi’s win comes shortly after Christiane Butcher, a woman from Brooklyn, won a life-changing $3 million prize from the New York Lottery’s 100Xtrascratch-off game. She also opted to go for the lump sum and took home $1,242,851 after the required withholdings.
In June, the New York Lottery announced that another player had claimed a seven-figure prize of $3 million from one of its scratchers. Just like Renzi and Butcher, that winner also went with the one-time lump sum payment.
