Terrible’s has reopened Primm Valley Casino just 17 days after assuming management of the property, restoring operations at one of Southern Nevada’s best-known casino destinations after months of closure.
The reopened property features more than 400 gaming machines, 250 hotel rooms, a William Hill sportsbook, a sports bar, and a 24-hour quick-service restaurant. Terrible’s has also removed resort fees and will honour existing player rewards levels.
The reopening comes after the previous operating company announced back in May it would close operations at multiple properties in Primm. The original closure date was set for July 4.
Corey Clemetson, grandson of former owner Ernie Primm, credited hundreds of employees for working around the clock to prepare the casino following Terrible’s management takeover on July 5.
“We want to make sure Primm keeps its iconic-in-Nevada lore,” he said, adding that he believed his grandfather would be proud of the reopening.
Terrible’s Vice President of Marketing Bryan Breeden said the reopening represents an effort to restore a key part of Nevada’s tourism landscape while supporting the local community.
“We truly mean it. This is Nevadans helping Nevadans. This is truly what we are trying to do and get this place back to the forefront,” he said.
The company said further investments are planned for the property, including new dining concepts such as a coffee bar, a 24-hour café, and a steakhouse.
The stateline destination reopened under the new ownership on Wednesday at 12 p.m. The reopening attracted longtime customers who returned to the casino, which has been a familiar stop for travelers entering Nevada. Guests said the property holds nostalgic value for visitors who have passed through Primm over the years.
“It’s so iconic to most of us. We take this drive, we stop here. It’s part of our nostalgia,” returning guest Dee Holland from California told 8NewsNow.
