The Illinois Lottery has produced another major winner, with one lucky soul winning $10.25 million from the state’s Lotto game. The winning ticket’s location has been identified as Tony’s Fresh Market at 2300 S. Route 59 in Plainfield.
The ticket managed to secure all six numbers of the Saturday, August 1 drawing, correctly guessing 1, 14, 19, 21, 43, and 50. Commenting on the win, the store director, John Moorehouse, had this to tell the Illinois Lottery:
“My assistant sent me a screenshot from the Illinois Lottery website showing that our store sold the jackpot-winning ticket. We’re all hoping the winner is someone from our local community.”
No further details about the winner have been provided; whoever they may be, they will have 365 days from the day of the draw to claim the reward themselves.
At the end of July, another lucky player scooped a big prize from the lottery, with an Illinois player securing a $5,000,000 jackpot from the Mega Millions draw on the last Wednesday of the month.
The original prize would have been $1,000,000, but the player had opted for the 5x multiplier, thus increasing his prize.
This is not the only big-time winner to have recently materialized in the state, with another player previously, one Steve, securing a seven-figure payout a few days after he watched a colleague play and win $10,000 in front of him.
