Las Vegas-based budget airline Allegiant Air is expanding its offerings by announcing a new first-class experience, which includes complimentary in-flight beverage service and a new tier of premium seating.
Allegiant Air Expands Its Offerings
Beginning August 1, 2026, Allegiant introduced complimentary beverage service on all flights, providing every customer with free in-flight refreshments. As part of the new onboard service, passengers will be able to enjoy a selection of complimentary beverages, including soft drinks, juice, and bottled water. In addition, starting from spring next year, Allegiant First will introduce an enhanced seating experience, providing travelers with more options, improved comfort, and added flexibility across the Allegiant network.
Allegiant’s new offerings come a couple of months after the company completed a $1.5 billion acquisition of Sun Country Airlines. Thanks to it, the company would be able to offer its new services to more than 650 routes. As Allegiant and Sun Country continue their integration, the introduction of premium seating and expanded complimentary amenities is expected to play a key role in the combined airline’s broader commercial strategy, the company explained in a statement.
According to Allegiant chief commercial officer Drew Wells, the new offerings are intended to provide customers with more ways to travel with the airline. As Allegiant brings together two highly complementary leisure airlines, the company sees a significant opportunity to expand both complimentary and premium services, Wells explained.
He also explained that travelers are increasingly seeking greater comfort, more personalized options, and added flexibility. For this reason, Wells argued, the new service enhancements are an important step in meeting evolving customer expectations.
What Will Allegiant First Offer?
Allegiant First is scheduled to debut next year with a phased rollout across select aircraft. The new cabin will feature eight seats arranged in a two-by-two configuration at the front of the aircraft, creating a more spacious onboard experience. Passengers will enjoy a five-inch seat recline, adjustable headrests, calf rests, additional legroom with a 37-inch seat pitch, enhanced amenities, and upgraded onboard service.
Furthermore, Allegiant First passengers will receive priority check-in and boarding. The fare will also include one personal item, one carry-on bag, and one checked bag weighing up to 70 pounds. The first flights of the new offering are expected to launch in spring 2027, with tickets anticipated to go on sale in mid-August.
