Popular British rock star Rod Stewart has cancelled all six of his upcoming shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas after undergoing a coronary stent procedure.

According to a statement by his publicists, following further medical evaluation, Stewart has successfully undergone a routine coronary stent procedure. His doctors are pleased with his recovery, and he is said to be doing very well and has resumed his normal daily activities.
On the advice of his medical team, however, the 81-year-old star will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage, the statement said, and as a result, he will be unable to continue with his current tour dates. His publicist also explained that details regarding the affected performances will be communicated directly by the respective promoters and venues.
This isn’t the first time that the rock legend has had to cancel multiple shows at Caesars Palace due to medical issues. Last year, Stewart had to cancel all of his June shows at the venue after he fell sick from a particularly nasty case of the flu.
Caesars and Stewart Have Worked Together for Well Over a Decade
Stewart has had a long relationship with Caesars Palace, having launched his Las Vegas residency, Rod Stewart: The Hits, at the Colosseum in 2011. Over the next 13 years, the residency became one of the venue’s longest-running and most celebrated productions. With more than 200 performances, the original run generated more than $74 million before concluding in August 2024. However, strong fan demand led Stewart to return in 2025 with The Encore Shows.
In a post to his followers on Instagram, Stewart explained that he was already feeling better and recovering well. He thanked the doctors, nurses, and everyone involved in his care, while acknowledging his disappointment at having to miss the scheduled shows. He apologized to his fans for letting them down and said he was looking forward to returning to the stage and performing for them again soon.
Beyond his Las Vegas residency, Stewart’s One Last Time farewell tour was scheduled to resume September 1 at the Minnesota State Fair in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. The tour was then set to continue throughout September, with additional stops planned in Michigan, Illinois, and Mexico.
