However, dozens of players managed to match four white numbers and the Powerball to win the game’s third-tier prize. Of these, 20 won $50,000 each, while the remaining 6 scooped up $100,000 each due to the Power Play feature.

With the jackpot having survived the Saturday drawing, the game’s top prize has now reached $35 million with a cash option of $15.2 million. The next Powerball drawing is set to take place later today, providing players with another chance to win the life-changing sum.
Speaking of jackpots, the $1.04 billion top prize just landed in Illinois, turning one local into a billionaire. The winner, who has yet to come forward to scoop up the winnings, will be presented with a choice between the annuity option for the full sum or a one-time lump sum payment of $643.7 million.
Before the jackpot landed, several consecutive drawings awarded Match 5 prizes to multiple players across America. The drawing just before the jackpot had three such winners, with players in Maryland, California, and Tennessee taking home seven-figure prizes. The drawing before that awarded five seven-figure Match 5 prizes, including one $2 million prize that went to a player in Texas.
