UFC Teases “Master Plan” for New Las Vegas Facilities

The UFC has teased what officials called a “master plan” for the land surrounding the company’s Las Vegas HQ. Under the new project, the UFC will expand its presence in Sin City with a new hotel, among other things.

The UFC Plans to Further Develop Its Vegas Lot

For reference, the UFC owns roughly 70 acres of land located north of the 215 Beltway between Jones and Rainbow boulevards. Some of this land has already been developed into the company’s HQ and Performance Institute and the Meta Apex facility, leaving approximately half of the lot empty.

Lawrence Epstein, the UFC’s senior EVP and COO, announced the company’s plans to develop the rest of the area. Dana White, the UFC’s president and CEO, added that his team is currently coming up with a “master plan” for the lot.

Like Lawrence said, we’re just getting started. We own a lot of the property around here, and we’re coming up with a master plan.

While details were sparse, Epstein noted that the expansion would hopefully include a hotel, expansion with the UFC’s TKO partner WWE, and additional collaborations with other sports and entertainment organizations in Vegas.

The UFC officials said that they hope to reveal extra details within a few months.

The announcement of this “master plan” comes shortly after the upgrade of Meta Apex. Now, the arena can accommodate some 1,300 people, plus an additional 90 on a mezzanine on the second floor. In addition to that, the arena was enhanced with a retractable bleacher system, as well as two kitchens and a new grand entrance. The screens on the east and west sides of the arena were increased, improving its visibility.

For reference, Meta Apex was initially meant to be a studio for fights, but has since turned into something much bigger. As a result, White didn’t rule out the possibility of expanding the UFC’s arena presence in Las Vegas. He noted that he was pretty certain that the UFC will soon be able to compete with much bigger sports.

Speaking of the UFC, fighter Arman Tsarukyan just penned a partnership deal with jack.com, agreeing to become the site’s first UFC athlete ambassador.
