The World Poker Tour (WPT) is heading to South Korea this fall, with WPT Seoul set to grace the INSPIRE Entertainment Resort in Incheon for the very first time from October 30 to November 9.
Held at Asia’s newest major poker room, the YY Poker Club at the resort features 70 tables and a dedicated livestream studio as part of its brand-new second-floor entertainment space.
Offering 46 events across 11 days of packed action, the schedule is one that’s fit to christen the new venue, with the action headlined by the WPT Seoul INSPIRE Championship that comes with a KRW 1,000,000,000 GTD (~$715,000) from just a KRW 1,750,00 (~$700) buy-in.

Plenty to Get Excited About
There is plenty to get stuck into before the WPT Seoul INSPIRE Championship takes centre stage, with the 46-event schedule offering a good mix of formats and buy-in levels across the 11-day festival.
Things get underway on October 30 with an Inspire Superstack, alongside PLO, a Turbo Bounty and a 15-second Hyper Turbo, while the early days also feature a Championship Warm Up with a KRW 100 million guarantee and a KRW 2.2 million Mini High Roller Warm Up.
The variety continues throughout the first week, with Mystery Bounty, Freezeout, Monster Stack, Survivor Bounty and multiple PLO events on the schedule. There is also a Big O event, while the festival caters for those looking to move up in stakes with a series of High Roller events.
Things ramp up on November 5, when the KRW 1.75 million WPT Seoul INSPIRE Championship gets underway alongside a KRW 8 million Super High Roller. Later in the festival, players can also take their shot in a KRW 3.3 million Mystery Bounty High Roller and a KRW 3.5 million High Roller, before the Mini Championship and final High Roller round out the closing days.
There is plenty for players on a smaller budget too, with buy-ins starting at KRW 300,000 and regular Hyper Turbo, Freezeout and PLO events running alongside the headline tournaments.
There is a lot to like about this schedule, with 46 events covering a wide range of buy-ins and formats, from the more accessible events through to the High Rollers and the billion-KRW GTD Championship.
There should be something for pretty much every type of tournament player, which is exactly what you want from a festival of this size. And with INSPIRE’s Splash Bay waterpark also on site, it needed to be a schedule this good to keep me away from the waterslides.
A New Home for WPT Seoul
One of the absolute best things about poker is the chance to travel the world and play in some pretty cool places, and it’s fair to say WPT Seoul at INSPIRE is going to deliver on that front.
Even aside from the world-class YY Poker Club, there’s plenty of off-the-felt activities to enjoy, with the Daia and Ultra Lounge providing complimentary nightly entertainment right throughout the festival, and, naturally, there’s a Welcome Players Party on arrival, too.
The 1,275-room five-star hotel also features a 15,000-seat arena (check the concert schedule), an indoor waterpark, shopping mall, and a huge range of dining and other entertainment options.
Moreover, the resort is right next door to the Incheon International Airport, offering convenience that is bound to be appreciated by the large international field expected.
Finally, organizers are advising that for any players thinking of travelling to one of Asia’s biggest poker events of the year, preferential room rates are available for a limited time, with more information available on the WPT and INSPIRE Entertainment Resort website.
