Nolimit City Expands Outsourced Online Slot Series With Sequel

Nolimit City has revisited one of its previous online slot concepts with the launch of Outsourced 2: Balkan Engineering, a follow-up to the 2024 release Outsourced. The new title retains the outsourcing-inspired theme while shifting the setting from a factory environment to a construction site, introducing a larger game grid and a collection of new and returning mechanics.

The sequel builds on the original game’s satirical approach to outsourcing. This time, the action centers on a team of self-described “Balkan Engineers,” with the game’s presentation relying heavily on construction-themed humor, exaggerated workplace stereotypes, and a cast of characters familiar to players of earlier Nolimit City releases.

According to the developer, the fictional workforce behind the project was selected based on three qualifications: owning a hammer, knowing “a kouzsin who can do it cheaper,” and agreeing to tackle problems before examining them. The game also references characters previously featured in Supersized and Nine to Five.

Expanded Grid and Returning Core Features

One of the most significant gameplay adjustments comes from the expansion of the reel setup. Outsourced 2 uses a 4×5 grid instead of the original 4×4 configuration, increasing the number of potential winning ways to 625.

The title carries a highly volatile profile. The return-to-player percentage (RTP) stands at 96.04%, while wagers range from €0.20/$0.20 up to €200/$200 per spin.

Players can form winning combinations using standard and premium symbols, while several special symbols drive the game’s core mechanics.

Among these is Infectious Ways, which can reveal a regular paying symbol sized between two and four positions or generate a blocker symbol that carries no payout. When activated, the feature transforms all matching symbols on the reels into the same expanded size. If multiple Infectious Ways symbols appear simultaneously, they reveal identical symbols, and repeated infections can multiply symbol sizes further.

Another key mechanic is the xNudge Balkan Wild. This wild symbol may land anywhere on the reels and can move between zero and 999 positions. Each movement increases its multiplier value by one, while multiple Balkan Wilds combine their multipliers into a larger total win multiplier. The feature can also “malfunction,” leaving the symbol as a standard 1×1 wild.

The Elevator symbol serves a different purpose. During the base game, it may reveal either a blocker or an instant bonus feature. In bonus rounds, it can award one, two, or seven additional spins, although it can still produce a blocker outcome.

Bonus Modes and Optional Enhancements

Outsourced 2 retains Nolimit City’s Print Spins mechanic. After a winning combination is paid, the winning symbols disappear and create empty spaces for new symbols. Each winning position gains an increased multiplier value, which rises by one for every Print Spin that follows. The sequence ends once no additional wins are formed.

The slot includes two standard free-spin modes. Landing three bonus symbols triggers Tilt Spins, awarding four free spins while preserving multiplier values accumulated during the base game. Four bonus symbols activate Tiltier Spins, which operate under the same rules but provide seven free spins.

Players seeking direct access to bonus content can purchase several optional boosters and feature entries. The Bonus Booster costs 1.35 times the stake and guarantees a bonus symbol in a specified reel position, making access to Tilt Spins or Tiltier Spins more than three times as likely. The Bonus Balkan Booster increases that probability by more than twenty times for a cost of 13.5 times the bet.

Several multiplier-based Print Spins options are also available. Players can start spins with x3 multipliers for 15 times the bet, x6 multipliers for 200 times the bet, or x8 multipliers for 750 times the bet.

The game’s premium bonus feature, Filthiest Spins, costs 999 times the base stake and guarantees seven spins. The mode follows the same structure as Tiltier Spins while beginning with x2 multipliers across all positions.

An additional xTra Spin option may appear when a round concludes. The extra spin preserves the multiplier state from the previous round, and its cost depends on the values displayed on the grid. The opportunity is only offered when the purchase price does not exceed the amount won in the preceding spin.

God Mode and Maximum Payout

The slot’s highest-value feature is God Mode, available for 1,111 times the current stake. The mechanic centers on landing the letters B, O, O and M on the reels. When all four symbols appear together, the game awards its maximum payout.

The same outcome can also occur naturally during regular gameplay and bonus rounds if the required symbols land without the feature purchase. Outsourced 2: Balkan Engineering offers a maximum win of 11,111 times the player’s stake.

Commenting on the release on the company website, Lars Soderberg, Product Owner and Sound Designer at Nolimit City, said: “The sequel you always knew you wanted. Sweatshop be gone; Outsourced 2: Balkan Engineering is here! The game takes everything players loved about the original and applies the ancient Balkan engineering principle: if it works, don’t touch it. Unless you can make it more complicated, cheaper, and somehow slightly more f’ed up. Sketchy engineering, improvised solutions, and wonky takes on our wonderful features; all in a package that barely should pass inspection”
