Michigan Casino Adds RV Parking, Expands Outreach to Fun-Seeking Casino-Goers

A Michigan tribal casino is looking to attract adults in what some may describe as a marketing coup and others – as perhaps too out-of-the-box thinking. The property, the Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel in Upper Peninsula, owned by the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, is opening a dedicated RV park.

New RV Park Set to Accomodate Travelers Seeking Fun and Convenience

The park is situated just west of the casino hotel’s main entrance on Michigan Highway 72, and will feature 50 RV parking spots for the time being, right next to the Turtle Creek Market and the Mobil gas station.

The property is looking to attract more visitors and guests, tapping into a consumer segment that it thinks will do well for business – travelers and people who hit the road in their RVs. In a statement, the Turtle Creek summarized the new initiative thus:

“Experience the perfect blend of outdoor relaxation and casino excitement at Northern Michigan’s premier RV destination. Located just steps away from the non-stop gaming, luxury amenities, and world-class dining of Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel, our park offers spacious sites, modern hookups, and more.”

The property has also taken measures to facilitate transit between the RV park and the property itself, with a shuttle waiting for guests who are unwilling or unable to walk.

The property is markedly adult-oriented” and styles itself as a good fit for “modern travelers” who want a mix of adventure and convenience

Adult-Oriented Gaming and Casino Experience

“It is the ultimate hub to relax, swap stories with fellow travelers, and unwind after a winning day on the casino floor,” the property stipulates.

Apart from the gaming options, there are more “fun” options worth exploring, such as Beach Fire Cannabis, a marijuana business operated by the casino and allow people to enjoy recreational cannabis products as long as they are aged 21 or older.

However, the casino has one notable exception, and that is that it allows guests aged as young as 18 to enter and play legally.

This gives the casino a further competitive edge, with the 56,000 square feet gaming floor offering an ample choice of 1,000 slot machines and 40 table games, complete with a dedicated Caesars Sportsbook.

Overall, the RV park is a small but meaningful way to attract a specific clientele that the Michigan tribal casino believes is a real possibility.
