Can Anyone Catch Bryan Taylor in the Grosvenor National Poker League?

More than 3,400 players have earned Grosvenor Casinos National Poker League (NPL) points so far by competing and cashing in eligible events as we head into the final third of 2026. Bryan Taylor (442.02 points) has earned more points than any other.

Taylor has been the frontrunner for most of 2026 and will take some catching with only four months of the year remaining. A purple patch of form between March and May resulted in Taylor putting plenty of distance between himself and the chasing pack.

During those three months, Taylor reached 10 final tables, including three wins and seven five-figure scores.

Brandon Sheils‘ (321.39) impressive results at the GUKPT Goliath festival have seen him rise to second in the current NPL standings, albeit around 120 points behind the seemingly uncatchable Taylor.

Sheils won the £1,500 High Roller for £54,130, then finished second in the £2,000 Super High Roller for £31,500 two days later. Those excellent results were also enough to push Sheils to the top of the High Roller League; more on that soon.

Mariusz Czech (313.57) finds himself in third place at the start of September, putting him on course for a £20,000 package come the end of the year.

Yucel Eminolgu (312.00) and Robert Douras (304.37) are in the places awarding a £15,000 live poker package, while Calogero Morreale (287.13), Aqeel Butt (278.55), and Keith Littlewood (277.58) would receive a £10,000 package if the NPL ended today.

National Poker League (NPL) Top 10

Sheils Edges in Front of Taylor in the High Roller League

Brandon Sheils may trail Bryan Taylor in the National Poker League, but he currently holds the narrowest of leads in the High Roller League. Sheils is top of the pile with 117.84 points, with Taylor hot on his heels with 115.94 points.

Chris Balmforth (76.76), Peter Stewart (55.39), and Ireland’s Conor O’Driscoll (52.60) are the other high rollers currently in a payout place.

Robert Douras Leads the Race for the Low Roller League Top Prize

Robert Douras’ ability to rack up cashes in qualifying tournaments costing £300 or less has seen him climb to the top of the Low Roller League leaderboard. Douras (365.79) recently added a chunk of points to his tally with a final table appearance at the GUKPT Goliath festival.

No Grosvenor leaderboard would look correct without Bryan Taylor’s name on it. The Scotsman has enough points (315.68) for second place at the time of writing.

Calogero Morreale (258.15), Helder Casaca-Sena (173.18), Mariusz Czech (168.50), Philip Tate (165.43), Aqeel Butt (164.72), John Bousfield (156.01) and the 2026 Goliath Champion Damon Burch-Hyson (153.74) find themselves in the prize-awarding places right now, with Lee French (152.23) lurking just outside them.

Points Galore Await at GUKPT Luton

The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) is currently in Luton where a busy schedule means players have the chance to top up their National Poker League points. The GUKPT heads north to Leeds later in the month, while the 888poker UKPL Manchester festival is sandwiched between those two Grosvenor events, which means the current standings could change wildly by the time September is done and dusted.
