The RunGood Poker Series has plenty of familiar stops like Kentucky, Joplin, Mississippi and Maryland on its September itinerary, but one event on the Golden Expedition schedule will take players well beyond the usual US poker rooms.
From September 17-23, RGPS is swapping the mainland for white-sand beaches and Caribbean sunshine as it teams up with The Caribbean Poker Series (TCPS) for a week of poker in Aruba.
Three RGPS ring events make up the collaboration, with $175,000 in combined guarantees up for grabs. Better still, PokerNews will also be heading to the island to provide live reporting from the festival’s biggest tournament, the $400 RunGood in Aruba Ring Event NLH.
If destination poker is what you’re looking for this September, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Three RGPS Rings Up for Grabs in Aruba
The RGPS portion of the Caribbean Poker Series gets underway on September 17 with the $400 Welcome to Aruba NLH Ring Event, a one-day tournament carrying a $25,000 guarantee.
At 4 p.m. that same day, attention turns to the $400 RunGood in Aruba Ring Event NLH, which comes with the biggest guarantee of the three at $100,000.
Four starting flights take place across September 17-19 before the surviving players return for Day 2 on September 20. PokerNews will be on the ground throughout the tournament, bringing you live updates as the field plays down to an RGPS ring winner.
The third and final ring event begins the following day. The $400 TCPS Island Ring Event NLH presented by RunGood has a $50,000 guarantee and three starting flights before Day 2 on September 23.

And those three tournaments are only part of a much bigger trip. The full Caribbean Poker Series runs from September 17-27, with $750,000 guaranteed across the festival. Its wider schedule includes PLO, Seniors, Tag Team, Ladies and Turbo events before the series moves into its closing stretch.
Turn Your RGPS Stop Into a Caribbean Getaway
A week of poker is one thing, but the Aruba stop gives RGPS players the chance to turn a tournament trip into a proper Caribbean getaway.
The RGPS events take place at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, putting players right in the middle of one of the island’s major resort areas.
Two hotel options are being highlighted for travelling players. The Wyndham Aruba is around a six-minute walk from the action and is listed at $251 per night, while players wanting to stay on-property can choose the Hilton Aruba at $390 per night. RGPS recommends arriving on September 16 and departing on September 24 for those playing the full RunGood schedule.
