SiGMA World sets Sept. 19 presentation for 2026 Rome edition with 30,000 delegates expected

SiGMA World will return to Rome for a second consecutive year, with more than 30,000 delegates expected at the international conference as discussions focus on the future of Italy’s regulated gambling sector and emerging technologies.

The event will take place at Fiera Roma from November 2 to 5 and is expected to bring together more than 1,000 exhibitors and over 550 expert speakers across five stages.

The 2026 edition will be officially presented on September 19 at Rome’s Capitoline Hill, where representatives from institutions and businesses will discuss developments in the country’s regulated gambling market. The press conference will feature Mariano Angelucci, Councillor of Rome City Council, Heathcliff Farrugia representing SiGMA World, and Sergio D’Angelo representing SAPAR.

The programme on 19 September will include “Forbes Italia & SiGMA Talks – Vision 2030”, bringing together regulators, trade associations, businesses and other stakeholders to examine regulation, digital transformation, consumer protection and efforts to combat illegal gambling.

The discussions will also address innovation, emerging technologies and the distinction between legal and unauthorised operators as the sector considers its regulatory needs through 2030.

The Sept. 19 event will also feature the presentation of the Forbes Italia Top 50 – Italy’s regulated gaming project, developed in collaboration with SiGMA, and dedicated to the leading figures helping to shape the evolution of Italy’s regulated gaming sector.

Artificial intelligence will be among the main themes of the November event, with sessions examining its use in data analysis, automation, risk management, compliance and consumer engagement. The programme will also cover fintech, digital payments, technological innovation and iGaming.

Organisers estimated that the previous Rome edition generated an economic impact of around €100 million ($116.16 million) for the local area.
