The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) will open its 2026 edition on Monday, with the first day featuring a Main Stage session on prediction markets and tribal gaming, followed by a welcome reception in Venetian Ballroom F.
As announced by the organizers, the American Gaming Association (AGA) and RX, the Monday Main Stage programming will feature tribal gaming leaders and advocates who will discuss their concerns that prediction markets bypass tribal frameworks to offer backdoor sports betting.
The speakers will also outline the actions under way to protect and preserve the tribal gaming market.
Opening day, hour by hour
The session, titled “The Power of Unity: Confronting the Prediction Markets Challenge,” will begin at 4 p.m. on September 28, and doors will open at 3:30 p.m.
After the Main Stage programming, G2E will host attendees at the G2E Welcome Reception from 5 to 7 p.m. in Venetian Ballroom F. The reception will give attendees the opportunity to connect with colleagues and industry leaders, continue the day’s conversations and celebrate the opening of G2E 2026.
Organizers said the session and the reception together will combine a critical industry conversation with an opportunity for the G2E community to build relationships and deepen collaboration.
Why tribes are calling for a united front
Organizers said prediction markets have quickly evolved from a niche financial product into one of the most significant challenges facing tribal gaming. Litigation is unfolding, and regulators continue to debate jurisdiction, so tribes are recognizing the need for a coordinated response.
The Monday discussion will examine why unity matters and how tribes can align legal, political, and public policy strategies. Panelists will also consider what collective action may be necessary to protect tribal gaming, sovereignty and regulatory authority.
“Prediction markets are an existential threat to tribal gaming and tribal sovereignty,” said Victor Rocha, Indian Gaming Association’s (IGA) Conference Chair. “We created this keynote because this fight demands a unified response. When we stand together, Indian Country is a political, legal, and economic force that cannot be ignored.“
The panel lineup
Jason Giles, executive director of IGA, will moderate the conversation. The panel will include:
- David Bean, chairman of the IGA
- Bill Miller, president and CEO of the AGA
- Holly Macarro, tribal advocate and political strategist at Federal Government Relations and principal of The Angle; and
- James Siva, chairman of the California Nations Indian Gaming Association (CNIGA).
More than 25,000 professionals expected
This year’s G2E will welcome more than 25,000 industry professionals from more than 120 countries, regions and territories. Nearly 400 exhibitors will showcase the latest global gaming technologies at the expo.
G2E has served the legal, regulated gaming industry for 26 years, and organizers describe it as the premier global event for the sector. The expo aims to foster innovation and drive growth across casinos, hospitality, technology, iGaming, sports betting and more.
