BETBY brings new SlotBets Games category to SBC Summit in Lisbon

BETBY will showcase its newly launched SlotBets Games category at SBC Summit in Lisbon, featuring a dedicated press conference, live product demonstration, and an innovation-focused experience at stand C206.

The sportsbook supplier will put its newly launched SlotBets Games category and BETBY SlotBets product at the centre of its presence at the event.

Attendees will be able to experience BETBY SlotBets first-hand and learn more about SlotBets Games, described as a new iGaming content category designed to “slotify” sports betting by turning real-time sporting action into fast-paced, slot-style gameplay.

BETBY will host a dedicated SlotBets press conference in Auditorium III at the Media Hub. The session will be led by Chris Nikolopoulos, Chief Commercial Officer at BETBY, who will present the commercial vision behind the product and conduct a live demonstration of BETBY SlotBets.

Special guests from BETBY’s partner network will also participate in the press conference, sharing their views on SlotBets, the opportunities surrounding the product, and how it can be incorporated into different operator strategies.

BETBY SlotBets uses short betting rounds linked directly to live sporting events. SlotBasketball, the first real-sports application, runs each 15-second round across three five-second windows. The highest-value event recorded in each window determines one reel.

The final reel combination is generated by the match itself rather than a random number generator (RNG), combining the unpredictability of live sport with casino mechanics including reels, winning combinations and multipliers.

BETBY developed the product to address what it describes as a long-standing industry challenge: limited natural cross-selling between sportsbook and casino audiences.

SlotBets is designed to give casino-first players a familiar way to engage with live sports, while providing existing sportsbook users with a faster and more continuous interaction with sporting events.

BETBY refers to the act of playing its format as “slotbetting”. The wider SlotBets Games category is intended to establish its own mechanics, terminology and player experience, following the development of other recognised iGaming categories such as Crash Games.

Kirill Nekrasov, Head of Innovation and R&D at BETBY, said: “SlotBets came from a very
clear industry problem. Sportsbook and casino often sit next to each other, but the player experience between the two is still very different.

“We wanted to create something that feels immediately familiar to a casino player while remaining genuinely powered by live sport. That is where the idea of slotifying sports betting came from.”

He said that BETBY believes SlotBets Games could develop into a recognised category, similar to how other distinctive mechanics have become established iGaming categories.

“SBC Summit gives us the perfect opportunity to show operators what that experience looks like in practice,” Nekrasov added.

BETBY will also centre its wider SBC Summit presence on innovation, with the middle of stand C206 transformed into a dedicated innovation hub. Visitors will be able to explore BETBY SlotBets alongside other products including BETBY Games and BETBY Predictions.

The company said the concept reflects its product philosophy of identifying gaps in the sportsbook experience and developing solutions around operator and player needs.

The stand is designed to give visitors the opportunity to see BETBY’s products in action and discuss them directly with the teams involved in their development, rather than presenting innovation solely as a broader message.

While SlotBets will be the main focus, the innovation hub will also highlight other areas where BETBY has taken different approaches to established sportsbook challenges.
