X has accused Duel.com founder Ossi Ketola of bribing employees, taking over usernames and trying to manipulate account suspensions amid a wider row over his accounts on the platform.
X Corp. filed a lawsuit against Immortal Snail LLC, the owner of Duel.com, on September 28 in a Texas federal court. The complaint details alleged attempts to obtain valuable usernames, reinstate suspended accounts, and target people critical of Ketola and his companies.
X said the dispute dates back to 2024 when accounts associated with the usernames @duel and @monarch were allegedly hacked. The company says Ketola and associates then reached out to X insiders to assist in regaining control of the accounts.
X claims that an employee received $1,500 in exchange for information on the @monarch account. Another contractor was allegedly paid to re-enable accounts without authorization. X says it fired the people involved and suspended the accounts again.
The company also said intermediaries tried to find employees who would suspend the accounts of Ketola’s critics. X says one employee was later offered $300,000 to reinstate several accounts after they were suspended in October 2025.
The suit also recounts allegedly abusive interactions with other users. In April 2024, X links Ketola and Immortal Snail to an alleged hack of a CSGORoll account. An account belonging to a former CS:GO Empire employee was allegedly hijacked after the individual began publishing content critical of Ketola’s organization.
X Challenges Ketola’s Account Ban Claims
X also claims that an account named @JNSAST was promoted as a militant group attacking Ketola’s opponents. The platform says the account was linked to harassment, doxxing, and threats before it was suspended.
The allegations are important because they run contrary to what Ketola himself had said earlier. In October 2025, the Duel founder claimed that someone paid to have his personal and business accounts removed from X. He called the suspensions a coordinated campaign and said he was trying to get access restored.
X now denies that version of events. The company claims Ketola and Immortal Snail themselves engaged in attempts to influence employees and skirt platform enforcement.
The complaint also concerns ownership of the disputed usernames. X says Immortal Snail eventually bought @duel from the platform in March 2025 after previous attempts to reclaim it allegedly failed. The company later acquired other usernames like @monarch and @castle.
The dispute has since been submitted to arbitration. Immortal Snail filed a claim in April to restore the suspended accounts. X is seeking to halt those proceedings in federal court, arguing it never agreed to arbitrate the dispute. X also said efforts to recover related accounts continued into 2026, including through what it said were fraudulent legal demands.
Now, the federal court has to decide whether the arbitration can move forward while X’s more sweeping claims are still pending.
