Goblin Traffic’s ASO campaign for N1 Bet delivers 693 FTDs and 112% ROI

Goblin Traffic’s app store optimisation (ASO) campaign for N1 Bet generated 693 first-time depositors (FTDs) at a cost per acquisition (CPA) of €180 (US$202) and a 112% return on investment (ROI) from June to August. Total deposit volume increased fourfold over the same period.

The campaign tested ASO as an acquisition channel for Prediction Markets, with N1 Bet selected as the launch platform. Goblin Traffic, which has more than 10 years of experience in iGaming performance marketing, also uses Facebook and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising for user acquisition.

Goblin Traffic chose N1 Partners based on an existing relationship with the company. Lev, founder of Goblin Traffic, said the partnership provided predictable payments, responsive account management, and support when issues arose.

“We have been working with N1 Partners for around five years, so we know what to expect: payments are made on time, managers respond quickly, and they step in when we need to find a solution,” he said. “This level of stability is especially important when testing a new vertical.”

Before launching the campaign, the teams assessed search intent, the app’s ranking in the app store, localisation, app store listing optimisation, and whether the product matched user expectations. They also evaluated the traffic beyond standard casino and sports betting metrics, tracking the user journey from installation and registration through to FTD and subsequent in-product activity.

The teams initially tested different search queries and positioning approaches using small traffic volumes. Underperforming variants were paused, while stronger-performing combinations were scaled. Performance was reviewed across individual segments to guide subsequent optimisation.

The approach was particularly important for Prediction Markets, where there was no established acquisition playbook at the beginning of the campaign. The teams instead used performance data and insights from both sides to determine which strategies to pursue.

Prediction Markets also became the first point of contact with N1 Bet for some users. Of those who entered through Prediction Markets, 60% went on to become sports bettors, according to N1 Partners data.

The keyword strategy centred on searches related to Prediction Markets, with politics emerging as the most in-demand category. The teams incorporated politics into the campaign’s positioning, while Canada produced the strongest results.

The optimisation process considered both search demand and N1 Partners’ data on the events that generated the most interest among users.

The teams were able to scale ASO traffic without a decline in key performance metrics. The broader range of events available through Prediction Markets also supported the campaign, as activity was not dependent solely on the sports calendar.

Lev said the results showed that existing acquisition models for other gambling products should not automatically be applied to Prediction Markets. “The user journey and post-registration behavior are different, so the usual benchmarks need to be reassessed,” Lev noted.

“The initial ASO results show that the vertical is worth developing further,” he added. “But the market is still at an early stage, and there are many hypotheses left to test. For us, this campaign is more of a starting point than a finished story.”
