Casino Guru Awards 2027 to launch on October 15

The Casino Guru Awards return on October 15, building on a record year for nominations and more than 150,000 votes in public voting categories. New developments are also on the way, including a stronger focus on player protection and a brand-new project that goes beyond the usual category line-up.

The fifth edition of the Casino Guru Awards will officially open for nominations on October 15. It will continue to recognize companies, initiatives, and people driving a fairer, more transparent, and innovative iGaming industry. Full details on the 2027 categories, nominations, and key dates will be revealed soon.

Five years of looking beyond commercial success

The Casino Guru Awards were created to recognize achievements that can sometimes be difficult to measure by traditional metrics. Rather than focusing on company size or revenue, the Awards look at the impact businesses and individuals have on players, industry standards and the wider gambling environment.

For four years, this unique project by Casino Guru has recognized work in areas including fair terms and conditions, bonus policies, responsible gambling, complaint handling, transparency, social responsibility, leadership, and innovation.

A strong 2026 edition sets the stage

The upcoming launch follows one of the strongest Casino Guru Awards editions so far. Total nominations increased by about one-third from the previous year, with newly introduced categories drawing particularly strong interest.

More than 150,000 votes were collected across the Players’ Choice and Voice of the People categories, showing strong public engagement. The season concluded with nearly 150 iGaming professionals attending the live Casino Guru Awards ceremony at The Xara Lodge in Malta.

More is coming in 2027

Daniela Sliva, PR & Creative Project Director at Casino Guru and leader of the Casino Guru Awards project, revealed:

We have seen participation grow, we have seen new categories receive a very strong response, and we have seen how much interest there is in recognizing work that genuinely improves the industry.

This year, we want to build on that. Player protection is one area where we believe even more good work deserves recognition, but we have been developing something else as well. We are keeping that part to ourselves for a little longer.
