Inteliumlaw launches Ontario gaming licensing service

Legal advisory firm Inteliumlaw has launched an end-to-end service to help gambling operators and suppliers obtain gaming licences in Ontario, targeting businesses seeking entry into Canada’s regulated iGaming market.

The service is intended to help gambling businesses establish a regulatory presence in Ontario, with the firm planning to expand its support to other Canadian provinces as their licensing regimes develop.

Inteliumlaw cited an Ipsos study finding that 91.1% of online gamblers in Ontario use licensed platforms, despite the continued presence of unregulated alternatives elsewhere in Canada. According to the firm, Ontario has recorded successive annual highs in revenue and licensed operator numbers, making local authorization increasingly important for businesses seeking to compete in the province.

“Google ‘Anjouan,’ and hundreds of consultancies will be ready to assist. Do the same with ‘Ontario,’ and you can count firms providing dedicated licensing support on one hand,” said Elena Sadovskaya, Legal & Business Professional at Inteliumlaw.

“Ontario has reached a point where nobody questions its attractiveness but rather seeks how to enter it the most effectively. The province’s record-breaking performance continues to guarantee rising demand, and our goal is to give Inteliumlaw clients everything they need to succeed in the market, turning that interest into compliant, future-proof structures designed for long-term growth.”

The firm expects other Canadian provinces to introduce or develop licensing regimes and aims to expand its services beyond Ontario. Sadovskaya previously outlined plans to add support for Alberta before gradually extending coverage to other provinces that meet the firm’s internal criteria for providing services, according to an interview with G&M News earlier this summer.

Inteliumlaw has begun accepting inquiries from gambling businesses seeking assistance with entering Ontario’s regulated iGaming market. The firm estimates that the licensing process will take six to nine months, depending on the complexity of each project and the readiness of the application.

Businesses can submit inquiries through the firm’s contact form and expect a response within 24 hours of providing their contact details and a brief description of their requirements.
