Gamban Warns Users of Lookalike Casino Gambana

Provider of gambling blocker software Gamban has issued a warning to users about Gambana, an online casino operated by JJam Holdings Ltd, after the two names were found to be confusing for people trying to avoid gambling.

Gamban Clarifies It Has No Connection to Gambana Casino

In a public statement, Gamban stressed that it does not have any business relationship with Gambana. The company also encouraged users of its services to be careful when checking website addresses, especially those trying to avoid gambling platforms.

The warning is especially pertinent for those whose recovery includes the use of gambling-blocking tools. Gamban told anyone who was unsure whether they had used the right service to get in touch with its support team via official channels.

Gamban called on anyone who had mistakenly visited Gambana thinking they were using Gamban to come forward with their stories. The company said it is taking the situation seriously and working to resolve the confusion.

Gamban is a software that blocks access to gambling websites and apps on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS devices. Its services are designed to help people reduce exposure to online casino and betting products.

Gamban Continues Gambling Harm Prevention Work Amid Gambana Confusion

Gamban’s announcement follows the company’s continued use of its social media channels to promote gambling harm prevention and recovery support. Recent posts have included personal stories of addiction, how to deal with urges to gamble, and the psychological factors that can lead to problem gambling.

One recent report was about a Gamban user who has been gambling-free for more than 700 days. He credited his wife, Gamblers Anonymous, and Gamban with helping him stay in recovery.

In another post, the company discussed how gambling can be an escape from the pressures of day-to-day life, rather than just winning money. Gamban has also published information on urge surfing, a technique that encourages people to sit with urges to gamble – without acting on those urges.

In other news, Gamban has increased its efforts to promote safer gambling through partnerships with sports organizations and regulators. The company announced a deal with Lewes FC for the 2026/2027 soccer season in August. The semi-professional English club has campaigned against gambling advertising in soccer since 2019 and backed stronger player protection measures.

The partnership aims to raise awareness of gambling-related harm and encourage supporters to make use of the available safeguards. Gamban has argued that there are some restrictions on gambling sponsorships, but betting promotions are still widespread in sport.

Gamban also partnered with the gambling regulator in Michigan earlier in 2026 to help players in the state self-exclude. The scheme is part of wider work to help people limit their access to gambling services.

Separately, Gambana.com has promoted its own online gambling business, featuring crypto casino games and sports betting. The platform rolled out a VIP rewards program in April that includes deposit bonuses, rakeback, and free spins. It also promoted cryptocurrency trading, as well as a variety of casino and sportsbook products.
