Mega Millions Jackpot’s Growth Continues After Friday Drawing with No Big Winners

Mega Millions has had another drawing without a winner of the game’s jackpot. The silver lining is that this means the prize will grow even higher, providing the eventual winner with a life-changing payday.

The Jackpot Remained Elusive

The Friday Mega Millions drawing had the jackpot set at $433 million. If anyone had managed to match all six numbers required to score a win, they would have been able to choose between the annuity option for the full sum or the one-time lump sum payment of $178.6 million.

Such a win, however, did not materialize since no one managed to nail all six numbers. No one matched all five white numbers either, resulting in a drawing without any Match 5 wins. For reference, the winning numbers drawn on October 23 were 3, 7, 46, 49, and 51, plus the gold Mega Ball 5.

While no seven-figure Match 5 wins happened, players across the US managed to snatch a few five-figure sums after matching four white numbers plus the Mega Ball. The top win for the drawing was therefore a $40,000 payout. Here’s a breakdown of all tier-three wins:

  • One player won $20,000 (2x multiplier)
  • One player won $30,000 (3x multiplier)
  • One player won $40,000 (4x multiplier)

The Top Prize Hit $443M as Tuesday Drawing Looms

Since the jackpot remained untouched, it has now reached $443 million. If anyone manages to win this Tuesday, they would be able to pick between taking that sum as an annuity or the one-time lump sum of $186.5 million.

The next drawing is set to take place on October 27, providing players with another chance to turn their lives around with a nine-figure sum.

In the meantime, the previous Mega Millions drawings resulted in several Match 5 wins. The most recent such win was a $5 million payout that happened on October 16. The amazing prize was won by a very lucky player in New York.

Additionally, a New Jersey player and a player in Florida matched all five winning numbers for an earlier drawing, which netted them prizes of $2 million and $3 million, respectively.
