The World Poker Tour (WPT) has landed in Seoul, kicking off a 46-event schedule from October 30 to November 9, and there are two great reasons to make the trip.
First, the action on the felt is packed, including a KRW 1 billion guaranteed Championship event (among many other highlights). The second is the brand-new YY Poker Club at INSPIRE Resort, which may be one of the most beautiful poker rooms we’ve ever seen.
Sure, there’s some stiff competition, from rooms like the Wynn and Bellagio in Las Vegas to EPT Monte Carlo’s retractable roof on the Mediterranean coast. But take a look at some of the first photos from WPT Seoul below, and we reckon you’ll be adding it to your poker bucket list pretty fast…
The Brand-New YY Poker Club in Photos
The entrance hall is punctuated by a huge, crystal-clear LED screen featuring bespoke artwork, a traditional boat scene and an intricate art exhibition among the East Asian style facade.
The iconic WPT Mike Sexton Champions Cup, flanked by two auburn bonsai, gives a first glimpse of the tournament area.
The series’ golden trophies and Championship title surrounded by a wall of attendees and champions.
The final table – where everyone wants to be. Unmistakably a WPT final table, but with a distinctly Korean feel.
All located within the state-of-the-art INSPIRE Arena, just minutes from Incheon International Airport.
WPT Seoul Runs Until November 9
Cards are now in the air and will continue for the rest of the 11-day festival, most notably in the billion-won guaranteed WPT Seoul INSPIRE Championship.
If you can’t make it to East Asia to join the action, WPT will be streaming some of the festival’s major events, with expert commentary provided by the team.
You can check out the full schedule in the table below, with a mix of satellites, different formats, high rollers and more accessible buy-ins all available:
