The penultimate PokerStars Open series of 2026 only began four days ago, but six players have already won trophies. Israel’s Gabi Livshitz is one of those PokerStars Open Aix-en-Provence champions, having come out on top in the €2,200 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller event.
Livshitz is no stranger to success at the live poker tables, having amassed over $2.3 million during his career. Prior to this win, his last victory in a No-Limit Hold’em event was in March 2023, although he did triumph in a €5,200 Pot-Limit Omaha event in Malta in October 2025.

Including re-entries, 102 players took to the PokerStars-branded felt and created a €195,840 prize pool that the top 15 finishers shared. As you would expect from a live poker festival in France, the field and those finishing in the money places were predominantly French.
French legend Bruno Fitoussi was the first player to see a return on their investment. Fitoussi bowed out in 15th place for a €4,400 score.
By the time Manuel Neiva de Sousa of Portugal crashed out in 10th, the least anyone could take home tipped the scales at €6,300.
Spaniard Adrian Chabbi Ipina was the first finalist eliminated from the tournament. Ireland’s Dan Wilson, a former Irish Open champion, joined Ipina on the sideline with the €7,300 eighth-place prize in tow.
Kick 2027 Off In Style at PokerStars Open Campione; New €1,250 Main Event Buy-In
Thibaud Martin, who reached the final two tables of the PokerStars Open Barcelona last year, fell in seventh for €8,550, which was the last four-figure prize awarded.
Sixth place and €10,200 went to Jason Wheeler. The American won the PokerStars Open Barcelona Main Event in August for a career-best €731,000 and has started this French festival in solid form.
The players gained more elbow room with the untimely demise of Adem Agoudjil, and then likely breathed a sigh of relief when the 2023 European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event champion, Simon Wiciak, was sent packing in fourth place.
Heads-up was set when Timothee Rey was sent to the showers in third. The €22,500 that Rey won was his eighth five-figure prize of 2026.
Livshitz and Adil Kassou locked horns heads-up. The Israeli grinder’s experience showed, and he emerged victorious with a €50,400 prize to show for his efforts. Kassou consoled himself with €32,300, the largest haul of his fledgling live career.

Krzysztof Zapolski (268,000) and Baptiste Chauvin (246,000) round off the podium places.
