California: Rolling Hills Casino opens gaming area expansion, new venues

R

olling Hills Casino & Resort in Corning, California, held Thursday afternoon a grand opening celebration of the expansion of its facility, which now has an increased gaming area by 40% and the addition of conference spaces, as well as the Rock & Brews and Fatburger restaurants.

During Thursday’s ceremony, Tribal Chairman Dru Alejandre thanked the tribe, Yates Construction, Dan Clark, General Manager Steve Neely, the casino employees and other parties who took part in the project.

“We are excited to offer our guests more entertainment and dining options at the Rolling Hills Casino and Resort. Most importantly, this expansion has allowed us to drive economic progress in the region through the creation of new jobs, which supports our tribe’s goal of building a sustainable future for our people and our surrounding communities.

Among the speakers was Rock & Brews CEO Adam Goldberg. He said this has been his favorite project because of what it has taken to put the restaurant and concept into the casino.

The expansion project started in 2014, when there was a change in Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians tribal leadership and management staff was hired with growth in mind. The construction began in 2019.

The casino has more work planned to continue improving the facility. In the near future, Rock & Brews and Rolling Hills will convert the buffet into a Mexican restaurant and three other food concept eateries.

“We as a nation have come so far, but yet we have so far to go,” Alejandre said. “But the vision remains strong.”
