Online crypto casino and sportsbook Stake has announced a collaboration with BetBlocker, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free and anonymous software to help individuals manage and control their gambling.

Stake is promoting BetBlocker’s blocking software into its platform to minimize gambling-related harm and promote responsible gambling practices.

BetBlocker’s software is easy to install and allows individuals to block access to thousands of gambling websites and apps. It can be used as a Safer Gambling tool thanks to its calendar feature that allows players to block themselves in advance, with the ability to set the duration—ranging from a few days to several years—ensuring flexibility and personalized control over their gambling.

“At Stake, we pride ourselves on delivering an entertaining and customer-centric experience, while acknowledging the importance of responsible gambling,” said a Stake spokesperson. “Strengthening our relationship with BetBlocker plays an integral role in ensuring their product serves to benefit our customers.”

Pedro Romero, Chief of Safer Gambling Partnerships at BetBlocker, said: “BetBlocker is thrilled to collaborate with Stake to expand the reach of our software. We are delighted that Stake is taking a significant step forward in promoting responsible gambling.”

Stake noted it further provides comprehensive tools and resources including self-assessments, gambling limits, and self-exclusion “to help customers understand and manage their gambling activities.”

“Stake is committed to pioneering channels and avenues that not only promote responsible gambling, but also provide support if it becomes a challenge for individuals,” the operator said in a statement, adding that it ensures assistance is readily available 24/7.
