$4 Million Guaranteed MicroMillions Returns to PokerStars From July 7

Poker News

Online poker’s most prestigious low-stakes tournament series is returning to PokerStars from July and bringing with it $4 million in guaranteed prize pools. The 2024 edition of the ever-popular MicroMillions sees 208 affordable events take place between July 7-21 in what will be a fortnight of incredible poker action.

Where many poker tournament festivals focus on high-stakes events, often with tournaments commanding four, five, or six-figure buy-ins, the MicroMillions events start from only $1.10 and top out at a still affordable $55.

However, just because MicroMillions tournaments don’t cost the earth to enter doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of money to play for. The smallest guaranteed prize pool offered during the series is $1,500, and there are five events with six-figure guarantees, including the $500,000 guaranteed MicroMillions Main Event.

The MicroMillions Main Event

The 2023 MicroMillions Main Event cost $22 to enter and played as a progressive knockout tournament. It attracted 27,863 entrants, including re-entries, who generated a $557,260 prize pool. Greek grinder “deathcube77” came out on top, having fired two bullets, turning their $44 investment into $34,343, including bounty payments. They’ll undoubtedly be back in the thick of it in the Main Event this year, hoping for a similar performance.

This year’s MicroMillions Main Event is a $22 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Progressive Knockout tournament with $500,000 guaranteed. The cards are in the air from 6:05 p.m. BST on July 21, with late registration open for three hours and five minutes. You can re-enter up to five times if you dust off your 25,000 starting stack during that time.

Although a crowd of 25,000-30,000 entrants is expected, the MicroMillions Main Event is a one-day affair.

$55 is the most you will pay to enter any of the MicroMillions events; this sum is reserved for the High Roller, which starts at 7:05 p.m. BST on July 21. The $55 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max High Roller comes with a juicy $250,000 guaranteed prize pool
