The countdown to the end of the 2024 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) on PokerStars is on, with the Main Events looming large on the horizon.
But there are still plenty of titles to be won, as exemplified last night with 18 more winners. There were also huge ramifications for the inaugural SCOOP League — read on to find out more!
Strebkov Bags 17th COOP Title with Victory in SCOOP 89-H: $530 NL 2-7 Single Draw [PKO]
To win one SCOOP title is special. And to win a handful is an incredible feat. Not only has Denis “aDrENalin710” Strebkov bagged his sixth SCOOP title and his second of the year, but he’s now up to 17 COOP titles in all — good enough for third all-time.
Strebkov’s win came in SCOOP 89-H: $530 NL 2-7 Single Draw, the fourth year this exciting Progressive Knockout format has featured on the SCOOP schedule. He denied “Pislogik” a maiden SCOOP title heads-up, with Joao “Naza114” Vieira (pictured) finishing third.
Nine places were paid from a field of 72, with recent SCOOP winner Narcis “Narcisus90” Nedelcu and Bernardo “bedias” Dias cashing but finishing short of the final table.
Big names “WhatIfGod” and current SCOOP leaderboard leader “FAL1st” also made it to the final table, falling in seventh and fifth respectively.

Skvortsov Leads Thumm in SCOOP 91-M; Seeks to Tie Glaser’s SCOOP Record?
There were 316 entries in Event SCOOP 91-M: $215 PLO8 [6-Max] with just 15 players remaining. Leading the survivors is Andre “Premove “Skvortsov” ahead of 2023 PSPC and 2024 EPT Monte Carlo final tablist Niclas “flushiisback” Thumm.
Skvortsov already has 10 SCOOP titles, and was previously tied with Calvin “cal42688” Anderson and Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser for the all-time record. After Glaser added a tenth on Saturday night, can Skvortsov bag an eleventh of his own?
