One-in-20-Trillion Blackjack Hand Stuns Holland Casino

A blackjack player at Holland Casino Valkenburg experienced a hand that most casino regulars will probably never see in their lifetime.

Last week, the player somehow managed to split a pair of tens 25 times in a row during a single blackjack hand.

One of the Most Unlikely Blackjack Hands Ever Recorded

For those who don’t play blackjack, when you’re dealt two cards of the same value, you can choose to split them into separate hands by placing an additional bet. Most players would never split tens, though.

A total of 20 is already one of the strongest starting hands you can have, so it’s generally considered a risky move. In this case, the gamble paid off in spectacular fashion.

A One-in-20-Trillion Streak of Tens

The dealer was showing 14, and the player decided to split their first pair of tens. After that, something almost unbelievable happened. Another ten appeared. The player split again. Then another ten showed up. Then another.

As the rest of the table watched, the cards just kept coming. Ten after ten appeared from the shuffling machine, and each time the player added another €10 and split once more.

The streak eventually stopped, but not before the player had split tens 25 consecutive times. According to Holland Casino, the odds of that happening are around one in 20 trillion.

And the story somehow gets even better.

Even after all those tens were dealt, there were still face cards left in the deck. When the dealer completed their hand from 14, they drew a jack and busted, giving the player a win on every one of the 25 hands.

Holland Casino later shared the remarkable moment on Instagram, describing it as one of the most unusual blackjack hands ever seen on its casino floor.
